So recently I was asked if I wanted to try some pants, more specifically a pair of pants and crop top that help to create a “chafe free, moisture-wicking, running experience”.  Why wouldn’t you want to try underwear that hopes to make running more comfortable!

So here’s my thoughts on Runderwear

The crop top …

When it comes to crop tops I am generally a small so I ordered, surprisingly, a small!  When it arrived I have to say that it looked pretty tiny and certainly felt a little less stretchy than my other crops however, as soon as I got it on it stretched over all the right places and felt extremely comfortable.

After a few short sessions I was immediately impressed with the comfort of the crop top and how secure I felt, even when “sprinting”.  But I thought what better way to really test the moisture wicking fabric, which aims to keep the wearer dry, than adding it to my half marathon kit, the Royal Parks Half Marathon to be precise.  I wasn’t racing this half marathon and it wasn’t a Hackney Half scorcher but it was warm and it was still 13.1 miles of running!  The bra was amazing!  No chaffing, no claminess and no movement, in fact I loved it and I think it will become a race day favourite in the future.

However, one note – I felt extremely secure and held in place, but let’s be honest I do not have much to keep in place so I would be interested to see how ladies with a fuller chest get on.

Onto the pants

(No photo here … no one needs to see me in my pants!)

They are big, in fact they are really big.  When I got them out of the packet I was slightly alarmed that even in a size “S” they looked bigger than Bridget Jones pants but still I decided I had to give them a go.  Once on it was like someone was hugging my stomach and whilst on my run commute to work (around 5 miles) the lovely high waist felt like it was holding things in place without being restrictive.  However, what I did notice is that my bum kept eating the pants … now it may be that thanks to all the squats etc, my bum is maybe a little big for an “S” but I wonder whether the “M” would be too big for the rest of me.  Usually I run in very minimal underwear and so it could be that I am just not used to being in such big pants but still…  I loved the high waist element but I don’t think I would be wearing these for a long run anytime soon …

So in conclusion … the crop top is ACE, I adore it and hope it comes in more colours / patters soon!  The pants … I think I will stick to the “dental floss”

Really? Do you find it uncomfortable? I just like to minimize the possibility of any “eating” ha 🙂

Haha love this! I feel you on the big pants front. The feeling of your bum eating the pants is the worst! The small the better for me!

Exactly! I am intrigued to try their g-strings though because the locking in of the stomach was just lovely … will update shortly 🙂

Ha enjoyed it! Heard a lot of good things about Runderwear… I, without fail, always run in Primark bikini briefs (always black) I have lots of pairs. Some of them are falling apart (can’t believe I’m writing this – a pair snapped just before I was about to do a leg of the Thunder Run so i just tied them together and they STILL did a great job!) I don’t think I could run in anything smaller!

Wow, now that is impressive and they were still comfortable?! I don’t think I could handle that? The Runderwear stuff is actually really comfy … I just test drove their “smaller” model and I was super impressed! However, if Primark works for you then I don’t think they could be beaten on value! How very intriguing! ;D!
